A second community alert was sent out last Tuesday stating that in collaboration with the Peel Regional Police, the University of Toronto Mississauga Campus Police identified and arrested off-campus the suspect of an alleged sexual assault, that took place on January 11.

The Campus Police had sent out an initial community alert on January 12, notifying everyone of an alleged sexual assault that took place on the January 11.
They described the suspect as a South Asian male with a long untrimmed beard, who wore an olive-green jacket, black toque, black jogging pants, and carried a black duffel bag. They estimated him to be of 30 years of age and asked anyone who saw him, or been approached by him, to contact Campus Police immediately.

The suspect is being held in custody and is not a student at the University of Toronto.
