UTM goes on Twitter

UTM has joined the bandwagon and launched its own Twitter account. Twitter, a micro-blogging service that lets users send messages, or tweets, no longer than 140 characters, has taken the Internet by storm, becoming one of the 50 most popular websites worldwide and getting 50 million visits a day. Many consider it an ideal platform for learning about news and updates almost as soon as they happen. By following UTMs Twitter account, students will be able to do things like looking at Frosh pictures or nominating their favourite UTM professor.

Those interested in signing up for a Twitter account can do so for free at Twitter.com, where they can also follow users as  diverse as President Obama and Snoop Dogg.
